Conditions of Acceptance

  • Aberdeen Journals Ltd. promote reader travel offers on behalf of the Tour Operators detailed in our advertisements, and on the basis of information supplied by the Tour Operator. Accordingly, we do not accept liability or responsibility on behalf of the Tour Operator for any details within the holiday offer advertisement or brochure which may later prove to be inaccurate or misleading. The holiday will be solely organised by the Tour Operator and subsequently any alterations, amendments and changes from the advertised holiday offer will be the responsibility of the Tour Operator. Any comments or complaints arising from any of the holidays promoted by Aberdeen Journals Ltd. are the responsibility of, and should be taken up directly with, the relevant Tour Operator. We are keen to hear your comments on the advertised holidays but regret that we cannot accept liability for any dissatisfaction on your part. All travel offers are subject to availability and sufficient numbers being booked.

  • Aberdeen Journals Ltd, and other members of the group will use your information for administration, customer services and targeted marketing. We will not provide your details to any third party unless required by law. We may contact you by mail, e-mail, telephone to fax to let you know about other products, services or promotions which may be of interest to you.

Online Shopping Terms & Conditions

  1. Dispatch Policy

    While every effort will be made to ensure that all items shown are in stock we offer no guarantee of availability and this electronic publication does not constitute an offer for sale. Goods are normally dispatched within 48 hours. If we are unable to despatch your order within 7 days, we will contact you by e-mail with an estimated despatch date and offer you the option of cancelling the order.

  2. Prices and Tax

    The price shown for the goods excludes postage and packing unless specifically stated. The charges for postage and packing are shown in the Checkout once you have entered the country and method of delivery and before you are asked to confirm the order. The price you pay will include VAT. Delivery to non-European countries may result in import duties payable on receipt of the goods. You will be liable for these duties.

  3. Cancellation and Returns

    If for whatever reason you wish to cancel your order, please email within 48 hours of placing your order. If the goods have already been despatched someone will be in touch to inform you of this and will advise you as to what to do with the goods. Subject to paragraph 8 below, if you are not satisfied with the goods it will be at the discretion of the Company Management as to whether you can return the goods and receive either a full refund of your monies or replacement goods.

  4. Colours

    The colour of goods may vary slightly from that shown on the website due to limitations of browser software and monitors.

  5. Confidentiality

    All confidential information, including credit card details, are held securely and only transmitted in encrypted form. Customer details are not passed to third parties and are used only in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

  6. Indemnity

    You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including legal fees), arising out of your use of this site. As a condition of using any of AJL's web sites, users agree to indemnify AJL from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including legal fees) which may arise out of use of, or by virtue of having access to, any of AJL's web sites.

  7. Jurisdiction

    The Contract will be governed by the laws of Scotland and the parties to the Contract submit to the jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.

  8. 7 day cooling off period

    In which customers ordering goods on-line, can return these goods within 7 days of receipt, and get a full refund.

  9. Consumer Rights

    None of the above Terms and Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.
